RAS RESEARCH HOUSE SPARROW (Passer domesticus)

In the Akkerstraat in Arnhem, House Sparrows are colour ringed by me in the context of the RAS project.

The House Sparrows receive a metal ring as well as three colour rings. Each leg two rings, where the metal ring also is part of the code. The metal ring is always accompanied by a green ring. The other leg has a combination of red, yellow, white, black or blue.

From October 2007-July 2008 the first 55 House Sparrows have been fitted with a colour ring.
