| RAS RESEARCH RAS stands for Retrapping Adults for Survival: in other words species-specific research on survival of Dutch breeding birds. In a fixed study area a given species is being studied in detail. Thus, a fixed recapture- or reading- effort is aimed at obtaining 20-30 recaptures minimally for adult breeding birds. Colour ringing projects in the context of RAS are done by me on the following species: * In these RAS projects only a metal ring is used from the Vogeltrekstation Arnhem. The other species are also given a colour ring. |
